I am a children’s author who lives in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire. It’s a great place to live. On the shoreline there are majestic swans, cheeky cormorants and bustling plovers. Ferries sail in from Ireland, helicopters fly overhead and yachts catch the wind. Yes, it’s a great place to live and a great place to write too.
I taught for many years in Pembrokeshire College and then left to be a home-carer for a relative. While working at the college I used to write short stories for a daughter of one of my colleagues. This was my first attempt at writing for children and I am really grateful for the encouragement and advice I received when writing those stories. Maybe one day they will be published too ...
