Donald Sturrock, in his biography, Storyteller - The Life of Roald Dahl, quotes a long passage from an article written by Dahl in 1975, entitled, A Note on Writing Books for Children.

Exciting news has been released today for all Beatrix Potter fans. A recently discovered story by her, entitled The Tale of Kitty-in-Boots, is going to be published by Frederick Warne & Co at Penguin Random House Children's in September. The pictures for this book will be drawn by Quentin Blake, the illustrator of the children’s books by Roald Dahl, Potter having only drawn one picture for the story.
